Oneida County Criminal and Civil Records

The Oneida County Circuit Court has original jurisdiction in all criminal and civil and criminal cases. Interested persons may obtain copies of criminal and civil records in person at the Clerk of Court’s office from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Clerk charges $1.25 per page for copies of court records pursuant to WI Statute 814.61(10), while certified copies cost $5 per document (WI Statute 814.61(5)). Individuals who want electronic access to criminal and civil records can use the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access (WCCA) site. Users will need a party name, business name, or case number to perform a search.

Oneida County Marriage and Divorce Records

The Register of Deeds issues certified and uncertified copies of marriage and divorce records upon request. Certified copies of marriage and divorce certificates are excluded from the Oneida County public records and are only available to individuals with tangible and direct interests. Customers can submit requests for Oneida County vital records by mail or in person at the Register of Deeds Office. Requesters would need to complete the Wisconsin Marriage or Divorce Certificate Application Form and pay a fee of $20 for the first copy of each record and $3 for each additional copy to obtain a record. Individuals can obtain Oneida County birth records from October 1, 1907, and death records from September 1, 2013, to present from the Register of Deeds Office. Anyone can obtain uncertified copies of birth and death certificates, but certified copies are restricted to persons with tangible and direct interests in the record. Uncertified copies of death records will exclude some facts of the death, like cause and manner of death and final disposition, until after 50 years. Per Wis. stat. Chapter 69, uncertified copies of Oneida County birth certificates of a child born to unmarried parents, and paternity has not been established or established by a court order is not available to the public.

The Oneida County Register of Deeds permits residents to obtain copies of birth and death records by mail and in person from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applicants must submit a completed Wisconsin Birth or Death Certificate Application Form and provide a valid ID. The fees for Oneida County vital records (birth and death) are $20 for the first copy (of each record) and $3 for each additional copy. The office accepts checks, cash, and money order payments.
